Two lakes, four days, and a trail that quietly earns a place among your best ever. This compact trek connects two of the most beautiful bodies of water in Kaghan Valley — the famous Dudipatsar Lake and the quieter, equally stunning Saral Lake — through a stretch of alpine terrain that most travellers never find.

Dudipatsar, dubbed the Queen of Lakes, sits at 4,100 m and is fringed by wildflower meadows and angular ridgelines that catch the snow well into summer. The trail from Besar climbs through pine and juniper scrub before opening onto the high plateau — a landscape that feels completely removed from the crowded valleys below.

Saral Lake comes next, reached by a ridge traverse that offers sweeping views in both directions. Camp on its shores for the night and you'll understand why people keep coming back to Kaghan. The return follows the same trail, unhurried and familiar — a chance to notice what you missed on the way up.

At four days, this is one of the most rewarding long-weekend treks in northern Pakistan. Accessible, beautiful, and well off the beaten tourist track.

Price: PKR 26,500 per person (group departures; private dates available).
